PhilanTHropy

Committed to our community

PhiDE's national philanthropy is Children's Miracle Network, which has over 170 hospitals around the country. Each local chapter is paired with an individual hospital in its area to raise money and volunteer; ours is GHS Children’s Hospital in Greenville, SC.

Each semester we are dedicated to fundraising for our CMNH hospital through different events. We have proceeds nights at various restaurants in the Clemson area, as well as, participate in Stand for the Kids every year with other PhiDE chapters from across the country!

In addition to our philanthropy, PhiDE also participates in many different service events in local areas. Many of our members volunteer at the Anderson Free Clinic and Helping Hands, continuing to demonstrate our passion for serving our communities.

FraterHood

CLOSELY CONNECTED MEMBERS WITH THE SAME GOAL

PhiDE is more than something to just put on your resume. It is a way to form friendships that not only are real, but that you can lead on for guidance in your future endeavors. We continue expanding our social events and love seeing each other at our Back to School Pool Parties, Friends-giving, Gingerbread Decorating Contests, Semiformal, and much more.

Professional Development

to better prepare us for the future

Although PhiDE does pride itself on not being simply a medical fraternity, we do have many opportunities for our members to further themselves on their career paths in and beyond the world of medicine. We plan many events each semester to further our awareness of the medical field as a whole, such as speakers, clinics, visits to different medical sites, and more. This semester, we had an Army Suture clinic, a Resume Workshop, presentations from our pre-health advisor, and many more. We look forward to hosting our first Gelfand Lectures, as well as beginning an alumni network with our graduates.
